This Privacy Policy explains how VentES ("VentES," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website, create an account, or use any of the applications in the VentES ecosystem (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

1.1 Information you give us

  • Account information. Your name, email address, and password when you register.
  • Profile and organization information. Business name, industry, billing email, tax ID, and team member details when you create or manage an organization.
  • Payment information. Billing details and payment status. Card data is processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Content. Data you create, upload, or store inside the VentES applications you subscribe to.
  • Communications. Messages you send us (e.g., support emails).

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data. IP address, browser, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies. Used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure performance. See "Cookies" below.
  • Session data. IP address and user agent of active sessions, used for security review and to allow you to revoke sessions.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.
  • Authenticate users and protect against fraud and abuse.
  • Process payments and subscriptions.
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing notices).
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Communicate product updates if you've opted in.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We share data only in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. Hosting, email delivery, payment processing, and similar vendors who process data on our behalf under confidentiality terms.
  • Within your organization. Other members of an organization you join can see profile information and activity scoped to that organization.
  • Across VentES applications. When you use Single Sign-On to access an app you've subscribed to, basic identity claims (name, email, organization) are passed to that app.
  • Legal compliance. If required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If VentES is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred, subject to this Policy.

4. Cookies

VentES uses cookies for two purposes:

  • Strictly necessary. Session cookies (httpOnly, SameSite=Lax) keep you signed in. These cannot be disabled while using the Services.
  • Analytics. Where used, anonymized analytics help us understand product usage. You can disable these via your browser settings.

5. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, personal information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law (e.g., tax records) or to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data: encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), JWT-based authentication with short access-token lifetimes, and access controls on production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. International transfers

VentES operates from a single primary region. If you access the Services from outside that region, your data will be transferred to and processed there. We rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) where required by law.

9. Children's privacy

VentES is not intended for individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Services or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
